You are invited to our next art show!

Neighborhood United is excited to present our second in-person Canvas Kids art show. Our students have worked diligently for weeks to put together brilliant digital and physical artworks that we have turned into beautiful large canvas pieces. Our works were  influence of duality: representation of ourselves inside and outside through portraiture and abstract works. We, as a family, would like to share our work with the community.

The art show show will be at Joyce Kilmer Park located at Grand Concourse & 161st St. It will take place on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 from 12:00pm-2:00pm. There will be light snacks and beverages for those in attendance. Students, families and the community will get a chance to see all of the works in large format. We are also accepting donations ahead of the event on the GoFundMe link on the flier and our website.

Healthy and safety is of the upmost importance to us. Please make sure to wear a mask to the event. Masks will be provided to all who need them. Masks and social distancing are mandatory at this event, as per CDC guidelines. We will also have a sanitizing station with wipes and hand sanitizer for all in attendance.

We also have an option to view the art show on Zoom through our virtual event link. The Zoom information will be on our website on the day of the event. This will give the community an optional way of attending our event.

We deeply appreciate the support of every individual that has been a part of this Neighborhood United operation. Big shoutouts to our teachers Mrs. Butler, Ms. Acevedo, Mr. Conteh and Ms. Flynch for leading the way on giving our students an opportunity to gain practice and knowledge in some of their passions outside of school. Shoutouts to all of the parents and children that are a part of the program and the @neighborhoodun family. And huge shoutouts to @bronxartsorg for their Community Arts and Arts Fund grant awards to our organization.

Excel with your neighborhood, not in spite of it!
